The problem
Cross-border trade depends on knowing who you are dealing with. Across Africa, company records sit in separate national registries with different formats and levels of access. Checking a counterparty in another country is slow and uncertain, which adds risk and cost to every deal.
What we are building
VeriBiz consolidates African business registries into one secure verification hub. A business can check a registration, confirm that a certificate is authentic, and see the result in seconds. Verification records are secured on a blockchain, so a certificate’s history cannot be quietly altered.
Who it serves
Traders, investors, banks and procurement teams that need to trust a counterparty before they commit money. As trade grows under the African Continental Free Trade Area, verification becomes infrastructure rather than paperwork.
Part of a connected stack
VeriBiz does for companies what e-ID Africa does for people. Together with Payola, it gives a trade transaction a verified buyer, a verified seller and a traceable payment.
Status
The first version of the verification product is built, including public certificate verification.
